Echo Energy an independent oil and gas company headquartered in Oklahoma City, OK. You will be working on cutting edge technology in the lucrative oil and gas industry alongside a passionate team of product developers and designers.


● BS or greater in Computer Science or related field

● 4+ years experience in web app development and shipping production code

● Deep understand of Object Oriented Programming a must, Java and JS (preferred)

● Ability to design and build highly scalable cloud-based backend infrastructure

● Comfortable working across the stack

● Technologically diverse background and ability/willingness to learn new things quickly

● Experience with relational databases and familiarity with PostGreSQL

● Familiar with best practices in testing

● Familiar with Agile Development

● Familiar with RESTful APIs

● Experience with AWS Redshift, MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ, Docker a plus

● Knowledge of data processing pipelines a plus

• Producing and testing high quality code in our stack (Java / JS)

• Collaborate with remote dev team throughout the development processes

• Coaching and mentoring developers

• Create documentation and update existing documentation

• Resolve and troubleshoot problems, complex issues, and bugs and refactor legacy code

• Studying new development tools and programming techniques

• Participate in (and conduct) educational opportunities

• Participate in research and experimental projects

• Participate in security and confidentiality initiatives at Echo

• Implement best practices (standards for code quality and delivery) as well as follow / modify existing policies

• Follow 3 annual Performance Management Objectives, with an evaluation of PMO progress semi-annually
